Venezuela’s Crisis

The major factor in Venezuela’s crisis is the  economic

sanctions imposed by crazy Trump.

Look at the Greenleft Weekly of 30 July 2019.

Obviously the dramatic collapse of oil prices too.

Why lie all of the blame at the feet of President

Nicolas Maduro who followed brave Hugo Chavez.

My fleeting visit to capital city Caracus in 2012

revealed the amazing Bolivarian revolution

–named after a Spanish poet –that provided

efficient housing and public transport systems

and many other socially relevant innovations

in that crowded and noisy modern community.

Exquisitely polite people, extremely rich or poor,

where bashing saucepans or tapping kitchen cutlery

was their way of registering community concerns,

not to mention blowing those infernal loud horns.

What a contrast to our fearful western culture,

where refugees are treated with utter contempt

and border control is more defended than justice

and old people are left to rot in nursing homes.

Venezuelans did not elect WEALTHY Juan Guaido

he just declared himself the interim president.

The essence of community is not individualism and

gathering of wealth, greed & manic focus on economy.

The west has no business interfering here, if we

believe in the principles of democracy.

Perhaps we just trumping up another cold war

against the very notion of any sort of communism.
